Free psychotherapy at LGBT+HUSET with the humanistic psychotherapist, Sara Lewis (she/they).

Originally from the UK, Sara moved to Denmark in February 2024 with their partner and our 2 cats. Since qualifying as a therapist, they have worked with clients in various settings including education, corporate and charity sectors, and in 2023 they began been working in independent practice, where they have a particular interest in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent folks. After moving to Denmark they became a registered member of the Danskpsykoterapeut forening which means they meet their threshold of appropriate education and experience, and follow their guidelines for ethical practice.
Working alongside the LGBT+ Huset in Aarhus Sara would like to offer up to 6 talking therapy sessions for anyone who feels they would like a confidential space to explore difficult feelings, relationships or life events. Sessions will be for 50 minutes and will take place weekly on a Thursday afternoon. Sara can work with individuals or couples over the age of 18.
Sara offers Person Centred therapy, a humanistic approach which places you as the expert of your own experience. They are not there to diagnose, pathologise or advise, but rather to sit alongside you, helping to hold and to process difficult or painful experiences. Their priority is your emotional safety, and in creating a space which is non-judgemental and empathetic.
