Do you have a song in your heart?

Queer Choir is a diverse choir for all LGBTQ+ individuals, queers and allies in the Aarhus area.

The choir is for anyone regardless of age, gender, or voice. The repertoire consists of choral arrangements of rythmic songs of many different genres, which are selected each season by the choir leader Johan Valdemar Hegaard, who arranges them himself.

Besides being a choir, Queer Choir values being a safe, social community with rich opportunity to meet like-minded, song-interested people from Aarhus's queer community. A community where there is room for improving musical abilities as well as a common creative safe space to participate in.

Prior choir- or song-experience is and advantage but not a requirement to participate. We develop a concert repertoire throughout the year, and work towards having 1-2 by the second half of each season.

Practice:

Time: Mondays from 19-21 (first practice on 12. august 2024)
Place: Maritzasalen, Frederiksgade 78C, 8000 Aarhus C
Price: 250,- for members of LGBT+HUSET / 400,- for non-members (16 practices in all). You can become a member of LGBT+HUSET here.

The first practice is free and non-binding. After this, a mail will be send about registration and payment.
